CONCLUSÃO: Este trabalho refuta a opinião geralmente aceita de que as todas as Testemunhas de Jeová recusam aceitar o sangue ou algum de seus produtos. Na população de mulheres grávidas, a maioria estava disposta a aceitar alguma forma de sangue ou de produtos derivados do sangue. Esta informação pode ser usada para ajudar no cuidado da saúde, aconselhando uma paciente quando é enfrentada inicialmente ao considerar estas questões e pode ajudar remover o estigma de aceitar alguma das opções.

CONCLUSION: This review refutes the commonly held belief that all Jehovah's Witnesses refuse to accept blood or any of its products. In this population of pregnant women, the majority were willing to accept some form of blood or blood products. This information can be used to help health care providers counsel a patient when she is initially faced with considering these issues and may help to remove the stigma of accepting one of the options.
